Bharat Biotech has reduced the price of its Corona Vaccine ‘Covaxine‘ by Rs 200 per dose for the states. Earlier, the Serum Institute announced a price reduction for the states.
New Delhi: Bharat Biotech has reduced the price of ‘covaxine’ by Rs 200 per dose for the states. Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech previously set the price of its Covid-19 vaccine ‘covaxine’ at Rs 600 per dose for state governments and Rs 1,200 per dose for private hospitals. Now the company has reduced the price for state governments to Rs 400 per dose.
Earlier, the serum institute on Wednesday reduced the price of covisiled vaccine given to the states by 100 rupees. The Serum Institute of India (SII) had fixed the price of Rs 400 per dose for the state governments of its Covid-19 vaccine ‘Covishield’. Now it has been reduced to Rs 300 per dose.
Let me tell you that the opposition parties are taking a target on the Modi government due to the high prices of the Corona vaccine. In view of this, the Modi government had recently asked the Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech to reduce the price of their Covid-19 vaccines.
It should be kept in mind that from May 1, people above 18 years of age will be vaccinated with the corona vaccine. For this, registration has started from Wednesday.
